Dr. Fidel Agai, PhD
Dr. Fidel Agai is a sociologist specializing in the sociology of law. He is an expert in legal pluralism, ontological security and related theories. He holds a PhD in Sociology, a Master of Sociology, a Master of Art in public administration and policy management and a bachelor’s of education degree. He has extensive experience in police administration and management, strategic planning and research where he is skilled in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, data analysis, presentation and reporting. He has demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing teams of police officers in both complex urban and remote rural environments. He has contributed to the effective and efficient administration and operations of the National Police Service at lower and middle-level management levels. Some notable achievement includes his pioneer work in the actualization of the digital occurrence book and the youth desk concept during his tenure as the officer commanding Buruburu and KICC police stations. He is currently working as a lecturer at the National Police Leadership Academy. He is a member of the Kenya Association of Public Administration and Management (KAPAM). He is also the author of two books and several articles in journals and magazines.
